Meet Rune, a member of TetraKit’s Board of Directors

Rune Wiik Kristensen is a serial entrepreneur in the field of Nuclear Medicine and Radiopharmaceuticals, bringing with him more than a decade of C-suite level managerial experience in startup and scale up businesses. Having both co-founded MedTrace Pharma, a company dedicated to commercializing the use of 15O-water PET tracers for cardiac diagnostic imaging, as well as founded Wiik Pharma, a company dedicated to distribution and sales of Radiopharmaceuticals and solutions, Rune provides key strategic insights to Tetrakits product development.

Before establishing MedTrace and Wiik Pharma, Rune gained extensive experience in nuclear medicine, working in the radiochemistry departments at Aalborg and Aarhus University Hospitals. He transitioned to commercial roles as a product specialist and territory manager, focusing on nuclear medicine and PET centers in Denmark and Norway, and holds a Master of Science in BioNanotechnology from Aalborg University and has completed a PERC in Radiochemistry and Radiopharmacy from ETH Zürich.
