Senior Translational Scientist
Information
Dr. Darja Beyer is a Senior Translational Scientist specializing in radiopharmaceutical sciences, molecular imaging, and theranostics. She holds an MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a PhD in Radiopharmaceutical Sciences from ETH Zürich, Switzerland. During her doctoral research at the Paul Scherrer Institute, she worked on the development of radiopharmaceuticals for molecular imaging and targeted radionuclide therapy, in close collaboration with radiochemists, organic chemists, computational scientists, and structural biologists across multiple research facilities in Switzerland. She has extensive experience in preclinical radiopharmaceutical evaluation, including radioligand characterization in animal models, as well as PET, SPECT, and in vitro studies. Her work has focused on radiometal-based labeling of small molecules and peptides using radionuclides including 68Ga, 67Ga, 44Sc, 177Lu, 161Tb, and 18F, as well as peptide optimization strategies to improve biodistribution and therapeutic outcomes in cancer treatment.
